How to apply
Eligibility
BSAO has places for up to 120 participants. Applicants are deemed eligible if
* they will have completed a year of college-level education by the commencement of the program;
* they are in good academic and social standing at their home institutions (and continue to be so up to the commencement of the session);
* and have a minimum GPA of 2.5.
Applications are considered on a rolling basis. Suitably qualified applicants (according to the criteria above) are admitted to the program for as long as places are available.
All admissions are conditional on continued good academic and social standing.
Application process
Applicants should obtain an application form (click here for the application form) and, when it is completed, send it to the office of British Studies At Oxford at the address below:
Office of the Dean
British Studies At Oxford
2000 North Parkway
Memphis, TN 38112
Students based at member institutions of the Associated Colleges of the South should enquire of their International Programs office whether there is a specific representative in the home institution, to whom completed applications must first be submitted.
Applicants should select from the list of seminars being offered a first and second choice for each of the two seminar hours. Every effort will be made to give applicants their first or second choice; in the event that the chosen seminars have already reached their maximum enrolment, applicants will be placed on the waiting list for those seminars, but will also be contacted with a list of open seminars from which to select.
Completed application forms should be submitted with an official transcript, and also in non-refundable deposit of $300.
Every effort will be made to respond to applications as swiftly as possible.
